Ruck for Roc was created in 2017 as a space for veterans, active duty military personnel and civilians to come together in the name of community betterment. Ruck for Roc strives to create lasting relationships between people and local businesses as a way to uplift those around us who are in need.
Open to EVERYONE, just create a 4-person R4R Elite Team, come up with a clever name and collectively carry 200 pounds of non-perishable food. You can have as many 4-person teams as you would like, just different names! Compete among your friend’s teams and all the other teams.
This is where it gets competitive! You walk the same route but we’ve added five R4R Challenges. Complete all five challenges and collect all five coins, be the first team that crosses the finish line as a R4R Elite Team, wins the trophy…and bragging rights.
Teams are not limited to only 4 members. But only 4-member teams will be recognized at R4R Elite Teams.
Participants will march, run, walk or crawl the 8K course.
For those that chose not to compete in the elite challenges while carrying rucks (back packs) filled with nonperishable goods, or choose to not carry and donate before the ruck, we just ask that you bring a minimum of 30 lbs. to donate. *See rules about weight for certain categories.
The ruck is open to all – current / retired military, first responders, civilians- EVERYONE!
* If you can’t carry the weight and just want to walk we ask that you register, join us and donate the minimum of 30 lbs food at the beginning, no need to carry that weight, just have fun!
